Food Safety Intern
Overview
Forest to Fork is a rapidly growing specialty mushroom producer (shiitake, oyster, lion's mane). We're seeking a motivated Biology or Life Sciences major who wants a food safety career path. Start part-time now; transition to full-time around graduation. Gain hands-on GFSI exposure in a real production environment.
What You'll Do
- Support daily food-safety monitoring and documentation under the GFSI frameworks
- Assist with HACCP/HARPC records, environmental testing, and sanitation audits
- Help maintain quality control for fresh mushroom production and packaging
- Draft/maintain SOPs and contribute to process improvements
What You Bring
- Major in Biology, Microbiology, or related Life Sciences (graduating in ~6 months)
- Interest in food safety/quality and microbiology
- Detail-oriented, organized, comfortable in a fast-moving production setting
- Reliable transportation to Faribault, MN
