Carl Connection: Winter Break/Term Intern (Carbon Footprint Data Researcher)

This opportunity is brought to you by Molly Janis ’03 (mjanis@mncee.org), Assistant Manager, Community Energy Program at Center for Energy and Environment.

Saint Paul has an ambitious goal to make our municipal facilities carbon neutral by 2030, and so we need to create a greenhouse gas inventory of the City's operations across our buildings, transportation, and other activities that generate GHGs.

The intern would work with City staff to collect the activity data necessary, and then to calculate the emissions resulting from those activities using an Excel spreadsheet.

The intern will be paid $15 hourly by the City, and the internship could last anywhere from 4-8 weeks depending on student availability.

Basic Excel skills required, intermediate Excel preferred. No prior greenhouse gas accounting or environmental experience required, although someone with passion for the environment, persistence, and attention to detail would make a great candidate!
