A position that is: Hourly, Seasonal Internship with flexible schedules

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO OUR TEAM (Overview & Key Responsibilities):

Lubrication Technologies is offering an enriching experience to students pursuing a career in science or engineering. This internship will allow students to see how their technical skills can be applicable in an industry setting. 
The Laboratory Intern supports the R&D, Used Oil Analysis, and Quality Control departments by testing products and conducting research on lubricants and cleaners, as well as conducting routine quality testing on manufactured products. They are responsible for assisting senior chemists with developing new products and updating existing products to meet customer needs, market trends, and new technology.
Flexible scheduling, 20-40 hours per week.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):
  • College sophomore or above completing a bachelor’s program in science or engineering, chemistry preferred
  • Organic Chemistry I & II, though that’s not a strict requirement
  • Requires an individual who engages in safe laboratory practices
  • Requires strong oral, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Requires the ability to effectively communicate laboratory testing and draft technical written reports.
  • Requires the ability to organize work and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines
  • A basic knowledge of industrial lubricants, product formulation and testing experience is preferred
