Marketing Intern
Are you creative? Are you comfortable with social media? Do you want to get experience playing with new AI tools? If so, we might have a unique opportunity for you.
SayKid is an education technology startup that has developed a screen-free, play-based learning system designed to look like a plush toy! See here. By combining voice tech with tangible play, we help kids learn in an actively engaging way - without screens!
In particular, we look for students who love to learn and aren’t afraid to fail. We’ll work together to develop and execute a marketing project. It may look like collaborating with influencers, being the “voice” of our brand on social media, or something else. Either way, we’ll work with you to better understand your career goals and figure out how SayKid can get you closer to achieving them.
Project Goals:
- Partner with the SayKid team to define marketing objectives
- Come up with clever marketing campaigns
- Use tools to design engaging content
- Build relationships with key partners
- Learn new AI tools
About SayKid:
SayKid won the Grand Prize in the Alexa EdTech Challenge, was recognized by Harvard as one of the organizations with the greatest potential to transform early education, and was the subject of a TEDx Talk.
After years of development, we finally have the product and have started getting it in the hands of kids. We’re exploring various channels to help the world understand what’s possible when we build technology around the needs of young kids.
We recognize students often want to learn about new areas, so we invite students with non-traditional backgrounds to apply. Ultimately, our hope is that you learn and have fun working with a company that wants to change how all kids learn.
A cover letter is NOT required. However, if there’s something you'd like us to know that isn't on your resume, let us know via email or submit a cover letter (as the first page of your resume), 1 document, and upload it as a resume. This opportunity is open to all, but we will lean more toward students with a drive, creativity, and maturity.
Unless you are graduating in June 2025, we encourage you to apply for summer internship funding from Carleton.
